What is it?

2-Step Verification is an optional configuration that adds an extra layer of security to your user account. Usually, Internet user accounts only have one layer –their password– to protect their accounts. With 2-Step Verification, you will protect your account with both your password and your mobile device (smartphone/tablet).

How does it protect you?

With 2-Step Verification, you will protect your account with something you know (your password) and something you have (your smartphone/tablet). This can help to prevent someone from misusing your user account, even if he got your password.

How does it work?

To authenticate yourself, first, you should type your email address and your password as usual. If you succeed, then you will be prompted to type a six-digit verification code, which will be delivered to you through the application you installed on your mobilde device.

Six-digit verification codes?

The app installed on your mobile device is configured by a unique QR code containing a secret key. With this key and cypher algorithms, the app generates 6-digit codes, each one only valid for a short period of time. When you type a verification code, our platform checks it and authorizes you if valid. Code generation does not require an Interner connection, but it is mandatory that your device is properly time configured (codes are based on current time).

Can’t remember your password or can’t find it?

If you forgot your password or just lost it, you still can click on the “Forgot password?” link in the right upper corner. A no-password access link will be sent to your mailbox. Once you browse such link, you’ll be prompted to type a verification code if such feature is enabled.

The mobile device isn’t around?

If you cannot run the app to get the verification code, you still can use the secret key to configure another device and then get verification codes. If you require additional support, contact us.
